Crowned Players of the Week,6/1-8

A big week on both sides of the ball has earned two standout REX players top honors. Felix Polanco and Micha Vessley have been named the Crowned Player and Pitcher of the Week for the stretch of June 1–8, showcasing clutch performances that helped fuel REX through a competitive slate of games.

Felix Polanco has been named the Crowned Player of the Week for June 1–8 after a strong all-around performance at the plate. Over six games, Polanco had 6 hits and continued to produce in clutch moments. On June 6 against the Thrillville Thrillbillies, he ripped a three-run double that helped lead REX to victory. Polanco, who currently leads the team with 10 RBIs this season, also crossed the plate four times throughout the week.

On the mound, Micha Vessley has earned Crowned Pitcher of the Week honors. The right-hander was lights out in relief, appearing in three games and tossing 6.2 innings of near-flawless baseball. Vessley allowed just two hits and one earned run while striking out seven, anchoring the bullpen during a key stretch of games.
