The REX offense was stifled in a 4-0 loss to the Danville Dans on Thursday night, managing just three hits in the shutout defeat.

Danville struck early in the bottom of the 2nd with a solo home run off the bat of Tanner McMurray to grab a 1-0 lead.

REX kept it close until the 8th, when William Good broke the game open with a three-run homer, to make it 4-0, Dans.

REX starting pitcher Joan Contreas pitched well, going 6 innings, only giving up the one run, while striking out 5

The REX bats couldn’t find rhythm all night and were held to just three hits in the game, unable to generate any scoring threats. Danville’s pitching staff was in control from start to finish, securing the shutout victory.

REX falls to 14-9, while the Dans get their 6th win of the year and sit at 6-11

REX are back in action on Tuesday, June 24th, as they travel to take on the Dubois County Bombers at 6:30 EST
