The REX entered last night's game against the Alton River Dragons on a two-game losing streak and looking to turn things around. The River Dragons were 7-9 and were hoping to start making the climb to a .500 record.

The REX took the lead early in the top of the third when designated hitter Canton Terry scored on an error by the River Dragons’ catcher. From there, it was all Alton. The River Dragons tied it in the bottom of the third, scored four in the fourth, and then had two more cross home plate in the bottom of the eighth. The REX fell to the River Dragons by a score of 7-1.

The REX are back in action tonight to take on the Danville Dans in Danville, IL for a doubleheader starting at 7:00 PM EST. The REX are back at Bob Warn Field on Saturday, June 18, at 6:30 PM EST on Trivia Night to take on the Springfield Sliders.
