    REX Baseball Announces the King of the Wabash Rivalry Series Presented by Ruoff Mortgage!

    A new rivalry series is coming to the Wabash Valley. REX Baseball and the Lafayette Aviators will be starting the King of the Wabash Ruoff Mortgage Rivalry Series! In the 2022 season the REX and the Aviators will face-off seven times. Whoever wins the season series will be crowned the Kings of the Wabash for the 2022 season and be presented with a trophy.     REX Baseball has signed its first player for the 2020 season, Clay Wisner. Wisner is a junior out of Malone University. He is a 5’11” and 195 pound infielder out of Bellefontaine, OH. He attended Bellefontaine High School. While in high school, Wisner had an extraordinary career. He was named as a three-time All-Central Buckeye Conference infielder.     This past season was a fun one for REX Baseball. Despite not making the playoffs the team had a long winning streak, they broke many records, and had the largest crowd ever at a REX game at Bob Warn Field.     A REX Owner is now a Hall of Famer. Owner and Terre Haute native Brian Dorsett has been elected to the Buffalo Bisons Hall of Fame! The Bisons are a Minor League Triple-A Team in the International League. They are currently the Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.     Wow, what a run the #REX have been on lately! The seven game winning streak which I wrote about last week? It made its way to 11 games before ending against the Kings. That is the longest winning streak in REX Baseball history beating the previous record of nine games in a row! This winning streak helped propel the REX in the standings!
